Product Information:
The Protec Coating is polyurethane, protective and finishing system, for coating and decorating surfaces. The system is able to resist both weather and aggressive chemicals.
The Protec Coating can be delivered in a range of colours, with the following finish: High gloss, gloss, semi-gloss, matt and dead matt.
Application areas:
The Protec Coating can be used as a permanent Anti-Graffiti system. When using the products of Micone the graffiti can be removed without visible affection.
Mixing ratio:
The Protec Coating has to be mixed with a hardener.
Besides the hardener (5:1) you also need an universal thinner when applying the coating airless.
Handling:
The Protec Coating can be applied by brush, roller or preferable with airless spray.
Drying:
Temperature of the environment: 20 - 25°C
After 2 hours the coating is touch dry.
After 6-8 hours the coating is dry to handle.
After 7 days the coating is fully cured dry.
Potlife Mixture:
6 hours at 20°C, when using Hardener (5:1).
Storage-stability:
The Protec Coating can be stored for 12 months and the Hardener (5:1) for 9 months in their original cans, sealed airtight and kept at room temperature varying between 5°C and 25°C.
Pre-treatment:
The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease. The loose, flaking paint and the powdery materials must be brushed or scraped off.
Recommendations:
Polyurethane-products are sensitive for moisture (liquids). All equipment and containers intended for use with this product should be protected from moisture, and the product should not be used at a relative humidity in excess of 80%.
